Generally speaking, the main methods of
conveyor belt joints include mechanical joint, cold bonding and hot vulcanization. DDetailed introduction is as follows:
Mechanical joint
The mechanical joint uses belt buckles to connect belts, it is suitable for small belt conveyor equipment. This method is economical, easy to operate, and fast to replace, but it is prone to damage and affects the service life of the belt conveyor.
Cold bonding joint
The cold bonding joint uses adhesive to bond belts at normal temperature and is suitable for medium-sized belt conveyor equipment. This method is widely used, easy to operate, and has high joint strength, however, it is greatly affected by the external environment and the construction technology is difficult to master.
Hot vulcanization joint
The hot vulcanization joint achieves complete sealing of belt joints through heating and pressure, and is suitable for large/
long distance belt conveyor. This method has high joint strength, long service life, and stable operation, it is an ideal choice especially for steel wire belt and ordinary fiber belt joints.
